What we offer
Being a member of SFOM means belonging to a supportive community of other families who can relate to the unique experiences that come with having twins, triplets or more! As a group, we offer a wide array of programming, events and resources to help families connect, learn about life with multiples, share their stories, cope with challenges and play and laugh together! Check out our Events page to see what SFOM events are coming up.
Connections
One of the most valuable, daily benefits of membership is access to our members-only SFOM Members Forum Facebook group, our online neighborhood-based Member Directory, and our members-only Buy/Sell/Gift Facebook group.
On Facebook members can post questions and exchange ideas about childcare, feeding, schools, rainy day activities and just about everything in between. Members also coordinate meetups with other families (via Facebook or email), to build friendships in real life.
Resources for New & Expectant Parents
Year One Program: free monthly drop in meeting for current or potential members who are currently expecting or are in their first year of parenting multiples. Typically runs September to June.
PEMS (Providing Early Multiples Support) Groups: for families with babies 0-16 weeks old, offered by SFOM through the PEPS Network™
Preemie Closet: no cost preemie clothes available for loan to current members
Consignment Sales
Our member families hold a twice per year consignment sale of their gently used children’s clothing and equipment, with items ranging from preemie to pre-teen. Shopping is open to the public, however, current SFOM members get early-entrance.
Family Events
SFOM hosts many family-friendly events, including our annual pumpkin patch outing, winter pool party, spring party, summer picnic, annual summer camp-outs and more. Most events are free or reduced-cost to members and include activities for children of all ages.
Meetups, Playdates and Outings
SFOM members have opportunities to meet other parents and provide social interaction for their kids. Most playdates and outings are open to kids of all ages and siblings are always welcome.
Get Involved
Are you interested in hosting a playdate or meetup in your home or neighborhood? Or connecting with other parents on a parents night out event?
We are always looking for hosts to help organize events throughout Seattle. Hosting duties are easy; all you need to do is to commit to attend your event, greet club members, and help make everyone feel welcome. You choose the location and time that works for you! This is a great way to give back to the club AND make friends with families of multiples.
If you would like to host a meetup, please email info@seattlemultiples.org, or join our members-only SFOM Members Forum Facebook group.
Ready to join?
Seattle Families of Multiples (SFOM) membership is open to parents and guardians of multiples (twins, triplets, or more) — including parents who are currently pregnant with multiples — who reside in the greater Seattle area.
